If you're brave enough to be on the roads for Thanksgiving you can expect to see more police patrols and possible sobriety checkpoints in the Hudson Valley.
Police will be out in force along local parkways to enforce DWI laws.
You'll also see increased security at public transit hubs, including local airports, along with houses of worship and retail shopping areas.
The Westchester County Police posted on its Twitter page that this will not only include patrol officers but in some cases tactical teams.
