The Rockland County district attorney is taking action in light of police-involved shootings that are creating tensions in the Hudson Valley and across the nation.
District Attorney Tom Zugibe teamed up with the Rockland County NAACP to hold a community forum Thursday night at the Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack.
The forum was moderated by News 12's Janine Rose.
Community leaders say it is important for that police and the residents they serve see each other as partners.
Organizers say the meeting was just a start, and that it's important for both sides to continue the conversation.
