Police seek help finding missing woman with autism in Hartsdale

Higgs has brown hair, hazel eyes, is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. Police believe she is still in the area and is attracted to water.

The Greenburgh Town Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a missing woman who may be in need of medical attention.

Michelle Higgs, 19, is a vulnerable adult with autism, police said. She was last seen on South Central Avenue in Hartsdale around 3 p.m. Tuesday. She was wearing a burgundy sweater, white T-shirt, blue jeans and tan moccasins.

Higgs has brown hair, hazel eyes, is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. Police believe she is still in the area and is attracted to water.

Anyone with information about Higgs' whereabouts is urged to contact the Greenburgh Town Police Department at (914) 989-1700.
