Police are looking into all aspects of the life of a teacher who was brutally murdered in her Ossining home, hoping to find clues to who killed her.
An autopsy by the Westchester County Medical Examiner?s office determined 59-year-old Patricia Mery was stabbed to death sometime between late Thursday and when her body was found Sunday afternoon. Mery was the daughter of former Ossining Village Police Chief Adrian Mery. He died in a 1986 plane crash. Mery taught Spanish at Somers High School until she retired in 2003. For the past three years, she has taught Spanish in Stamford, Connecticut. Her students there are having trouble coming to terms with such a horrible crime.
Police say they do have some leads, but an arrest is not imminent. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ossining police detectives at 914-941-5913.
