Police are combing the woods near Inverness Road in Greenburgh for evidence after a man was found shot to death, reportedly with his hands tied behind his back.
Police have only described the victim as black or Hispanic and haven't confirmed reports that he was killed execution style with a gunshot to the neck.
The body was discovered Sunday at about 6 p.m. by a driver passing a wooded area between Central Avenue and Inverness Road.
"It never happened before so there's no need to be concerned," says Angelo Mascia, of Scarsdale. "The body was probably brought here from somewhere else."
Police agree that the body was brought to Greenburgh from another borough of New York City.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Greenburgh Police Department at 914-682-5331.
