A Police report shows that a private school bus driver was found to be at fault in a Spring Valley accident that killed a 6-year-old girl.
News 12 has obtained the Town of Ramapo accident report that shows police found a United Talmudical Academy driver at fault for an accident that killed a 6-year-old girl in February in Spring Valley.
The victim is identified in the report as Toba Neuman, of Spring Valley. According to the report, Neuman was the last of five UTA of Monsey students to get off at their stop on South Madison Avenue at Hillman Place February 16 at 11:37 a.m.
The report states the girl was crossing in front of the bus when police say the driver began to drive away and struck the girl twice on the left side of the school bus.
Police said in the report that the child died at the scene and that the driver, who was cooperative with authorities, was at fault for the fatal accident. The driver’s name was not specified in the report and it’s not clear if they were ticketed or charged with any wrongdoing.
News 12 reached out to United Talmudical Academy of Monsey for information but has not heard back.
A UTA of Monsey driver was also ticketed in Monsey in April for passing a school bus when police say he struck a six-year-old girl who was with her mother.
