Police are investigating the theft and vandalism of a menorah outside Mount Kisco Village Hall.
A menorah was replaced Monday, after police say the first one was taken on December 28. Bedford police found the destroyed menorah the next morning on McClain Street near Penbrook Lane, a few blocks from Village Hall. Police in Bedford and Mount Kisco are investigating it as a hate crime.
The Chabad Lubavitch of Westchester replaced the menorah at the cost of $1,500. Anyone with information is asked to call the Mount Kisco police at (914) 666-3855.
