Police: Poughkeepsie man arrested in Saturday's fatal shooting

A Poughkeepsie man has been arrested in a fatal shooting in the city, according to police.
Authorities say Atiba Proverbs, 27, of Poughkeepsie was found with multiple gunshots wounds early Saturday morning at 386 Main St.
He died at the hospital.
A short time later, Carlton Belton, 31, of Poughkeepsie arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound.
He has now been charged with second-degree murder and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail.
Police report a third man was also shot in the incident.
Detectives say there were multiple witnesses at the scene but that nobody has given a statement to police.
