A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car in Wallkill last night, authorities said.

The incident occurred around Industrial Drive and Fortune Road, approximately half a mile from the police station.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, suffered serious injuries and was administered CPR at the scene before succumbing to their injuries at the hospital.

The driver remained at the scene, and no charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
