Police say that a shootout at a Newburgh graduation party Sunday may have been gang-related.
Police say at least six shots were fired from both in and outside of 2 Baltsas Road Saturday just before midnight.
Two teenagers are recovering after getting caught in the crossfire. One of the victims, 17-year-old Maleek Logan, was shot in the thigh. Both victims are expected to recover from their injuries.
Police say a group of reputed gang members from Newburgh arrived in a cab. They said the confrontation started immediately, as shots were fired from both outside and inside the house.
"Like eight of them jumped out," says Keith Ford, who was at the party supervising the kids. "They rushed the playroom area."
