A New Paltz woman is facing charges for stabbing a 79-year-old man, according to police.
Authorities say 21-year-old Cameryn Burke slashed the man during a physical confrontation on lower Main Street in the area of Plattekill Avenue.
The suspect ran from the scene. However, bystanders helped officers quickly find her.
Police say the man was hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The charges against Burke include assault and criminal possession of a weapon. She is being held on $25,000 cash bail.
