New Rochelle police say a man shot Tuesday afternoon may have been targeted.

Police say the 22-year-old from Mount Vernon was shot in front of 345 Main St. They say he had multiple gunshot wounds but was conscious and alert.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

Witnesses say the two suspects fled in a black Kia.
