Police say they removed a man from a New Rochelle home after a standoff situation on Seventh Street, near Union Avenue.
Officials say the mentally unstable man locked himself in his room, causing his mother to call police Friday morning.
After hours of reasoning with the man, New Rochelle officers had to finally forcibly remove him from the apartment.
He was taken to Mount Vernon Hospital for evaluation.
