A man was fatally struck by a train in Port Jervis Tuesday night, police say.
Police say they responded to reports just after 8 p.m. of a male pedestrian being struck by a commuter train near Jersey Avenue by the intersection with Pennsylvania Avenue.
An investigation revealed a 53-year-old was fatally struck by a westbound commuter train, police say. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of his family.
The incident is being investigated by Port Jervis police and MTA police.
