Police: Man fatally shot in head in Yonkers, gunman still on loose

A 22-year-old man from Delaware was fatally shot in the head in Yonkers early Sunday morning, according to police.

A 22-year-old man from Delaware was fatally shot in the head in Yonkers early Sunday morning, according to police.
Officials say the shooting took place around 5 a.m. at the corner of Bronx River Road and Sherwood Avenue.
Police say the victim died at a hospital. His name has not yet been released. Police are still searching for the gunman.
People living in the neighborhood told News 12 they were very upset over the shooting because they say this area is normally pretty quiet.
Juan Devalle says he was awakened when police knocked on his door and there is still blood on his doorstep. "I look out the window, I see blood, I see the cops, and I see a book bag, a hat, a lighter,” says Devalle. Other neighbors tell News 12 they didn't hear any gunshots.
