yesterdayA man has been charged for attempting to burglarize a home in East Fishkill.
Officers say they responded to a call reporting a burglary and a woman being assaulted at a home on Sunset Drive. They also received a call about a man threatening a neighbor with a gun in the same area.
After arriving at the scene, police tracked down the suspect, who they identified as Jamel Williams.
He allegedly assaulted an officer, attempted to take their gun and attacked a paramedic trying to help a nearby victim.
Williams was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation. He now faces assault and weapons charges among several others.
