Ramapo police arrested a 32-year-old man they say held a child and woman captive in the village of Airmont Tuesday.

Officers received a tip about a woman and child being held against their will.

When officers arrived, they found the woman with various injuries, including several deep puncture wounds on her legs from a power drill. She was taken to the hospital.

The suspect faces several charges, including kidnapping, attempted assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
