Police charged 23-year-old Mackenzie Arias for criminal sale of a controlled substance.
The Dutchess County Drug Task Force has been investigating the sale of fentanyl in Poughkeepsie for several months.
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine and has been linked to numerous overdose deaths in the county.
