A man has been arrested for selling fentanyl to Dutchess County residents.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force has been investigating the sale of fentanyl in Poughkeepsie for several months.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine and has been linked to numerous overdose deaths in the county.
