Police: Man arraigned for armed robbery in Poughkeepsie

Officers responded to a robbery at a gas station on Violet Avenue when they learned the suspect had run away.

Town of Poughkeepsie police say they arraigned an armed robbery suspect on Wednesday.
They say officers responding to a robbery at a gas station on Violet Avenue when they learned the suspect had run away. The clerk told officers a man, Sean Grant, showed a semi-automatic and demanded money from the register and the clerk's phone.
A police dog was able to locate some of the stolen cash, the phone, and some of the Grant’s clothing in a nearby parking lot and someone’s yard.
Grant was arrested at a residential facility and now faces charges for robbery in the first degree.
