The gruesome murder of a Sullivan County woman seven years ago may have finally been solved.
Police say Keymarro Guiden has been arrested in the beheading and dismembering of April Parker in 2014.
The 31-year-old mother of four was found dismembered in a wooded area near her apartment in Monticello. Parker was Guiden's girlfriend and the mother of his young son.
Guiden was arrested in Pennsylvania earlier this month and brought back to New York Tuesday after state police say their yearslong investigation into April Parker's death led them to Guiden.
Authorities will not say what evidence solved the cold case.
Guiden has pleaded not guilty to murder.
The district attorney's office says the facts will be presented in court and that she's committed to victims of all crimes, including cold cases.
Three of Parker's children are now adults, and her son with Guiden is 10 years old.
The boy's father is being held in Sullivan County Jail without bail and is due in court next month.
