Poughkeepsie police are investigating after someone was slashed in the face in the city.

Investigators say they were called to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital Wednesday morning for a walk-in stab victim.

Officials later determined the victim had been attacked and assaulted by a group of five suspects on Main Street.

The victim sustained a large slash wound to the face.
