A makeshift shrine sits on Walnut Street in Yonkers where a 17-year-old was fatally shot in the chest.
Police say Angel Vasquez, of Yonkers, was shot around 6:30 p.m. Monday. They are investigating several leads, but have not yet made an arrest. A neighbor says he saw a teenager running away from the scene with a gun.
This was the second shooting to occur in Yonkers Monday. Police say a shooting at an apartment complex on Park Hill Avenue left two men with minor injuries.
