Yonkers police are investigating a string of crimes that happened overnight. An assault, a stabbing and a robbery all went down within 90 minutes of each other in the southwest section of Yonkers.
Yonkers police say it all began around 4 a.m. Sunday on Bruce Avenue by Radford street with a report of an assault by a group of ten men on a couple. The man suffered head injuries and lacerations to his face and was admitted to the hospital. The woman was treated and released. According to police before 5 a.m. an assault and robbery occurred on the corner of Caryl Avenue and South Broadway. The victim, whose cell phone was stolen, says she was attacked by a group of young men. Around 5:20 a.m., a stabbing occurred in front of 21 Saratoga Avenue. Police say a woman was stabbed in the leg by a group of youths wearing hoods.
Yonkers police are still investigating and looking at the possibility the crimes were committed by the same people.
