Police: Haverstraw man faces several drug and weapons charges

A 27-year-old man was arrested in Haverstraw last week on multiple drug and weapons charges.
Haverstraw police say Sharrahn Walton was charged with having narcotics with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.
Walton was remanded without bail and is in federal custody.
Walton was named in a 2016 indictment by the U.S. attorney and charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
