A disbarred lawyer from Chappaqua at the center of a murder mystery was grilled by police Wednesday.
Investigators were back at the crime scene in Millwood where Carlos Perez-Olivo, 58, and his wife were reportedly forced off the road and shot in a bizarre roadside attack. Peggy Perez-Olivo later died from her injuries. Carlos told police the suspect shot his wife in the head after entering the car. He also claims he was shot in the abdomen after a struggle with the gunman. New Castle and state police are searching the surrounding area for the weapon.
Police released a sketch of the attacker based on the husband's description, but so far police say they're not ruling out any suspects, including Perez-Olivo himself. Police spent hours searching the couple?s home Monday. Police say they are also looking into Perez-Olivo's history as a criminal defense lawyer. He was disbarred in August after state Supreme Court appellate judges found he "repeatedly refused to return unearned funds or retainers to clients."
