Police and fire crews responded an explosion at a house in Millwood Monday.
The explosion happened at 392 Saw Mill River Road. Residents reported hearing the explosion around 5 p.m.
Officials say the explosion occurred on the side of the house. They say no one was inside at the time of the explosion.
The homeowners say they don't live in the house, but do check on it regularly.
Con Edison was on the scene to turn off the power.
When firefighters arrived to the scene, there was a flash flame in the debris trail that was immediately put out.
The fire chief said they do not know what caused the explosion. They say the house is not run on natural gas, and is instead fed by propane.
