Police in Harrison have a break in the case of an armed jewelry heist at a mansion last week.
Police found a white van they believe was used by armed robbers who demanded jewels from a Harrison homeowner on Rye Ridge Road last Thursday. The van was found at the corner of Second and Lincoln avenues in Pelham.
Police say the suspects were disguised as flower deliverymen, complete with fake lettering on the side of the van. Investigators believe the woman was targeted because her ex-husband is a diamond dealer. They are hoping the discovery of the van will bring them closer to the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-898-TIPS.
