A New Rochelle man is facing a slew of charges after a traffic stop lead to the discovery of an illegal firearm on Sunday.

Police say an officer on patrol witnessed a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction along Division Street around 4 a.m.

Officers initiated a stop, determined 43-year-old Jamell Green was intoxicated and took him into custody without incident.

They also found an illegally possessed loaded gun during a search.

The charges against him include DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a .08% BAC or higher, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of a loaded firearm.
