The search for the shooter of an 18-year-old from North Carolina in Yonkers over the weekend continues Monday morning.
Guy Vanlew, of Raleigh, was killed in the shooting at 53 Cliff St. just after 9 p.m. Saturday. It took place across from a playground. No one else was hit.
On Saturday evening, police received a call about shots fired. Arriving officers found Vanlew, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were back on the scene Sunday canvassing the area and looking for evidence, as maintenance workers cleaned up the stairs and sidewalks where the shooting occurred.
This is the second deadly shooting in Yonkers this month. Two people were shot over at Grant Park on July 5, and one person was killed.
Yonkers police are asking for the public's help.
