Police are working to identify a body found burned beyond recognition on Tiemann and Hammersley avenues early Tuesday morning.
Authorities say the gruesome discovery was made by a man walking his dog at around 5:30 a.m. Neighbors say it appears the charred remains were dumped behind a blue minivan at the end of a dimly lit dead-end block.
Local residents say there are no houses at the end of the block, which is shrouded in shrubbery and trees.
Police closed off Tiemann Avenue at Hammersley Avenue to investigate the incident. No immediate details on the victim are being released.
