A man was wounded after a bullet grazed his head in Mount Vernon Friday evening, and police are seeking the gunman.
The unidentified victim was shot near 347 South Fourth Ave. and taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx at around 7:30 p.m. Police described him only as a black man in his mid-20s.
He is in stable condition, and police say that although he is able to speak with investigators, he has not given them information on the suspect.
Officials say that there's been an uptick in violence in the area, and police have increased patrols over the last two months.
