Police say four people are dead following a murder-suicide in New City.
According to police, officers arrived at 12:20 a.m. Saturday for a welfare check at 10 Clydesdale Court and found an adult male, adult female and two juvenile males deceased inside.
“The adult female and two juvenile males were shot, while the adult male appears to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” according to Clarkstown police.
Police believe Watson Morgan, 49, shot his wife Ornela, 43, and two sons ages 10 and 12 before turning the gun on himself.
As News 12 has reported, Clarkstown Police say they performed a welfare check at the home when Morgan, who worked as a Bronxville police officer and was set to retire, failed to show up for work.
Laurel Plains Elementary School and Fiesta Middle School are currently open for people seeking emotional support.
News 12 has been told counselors will also be available on Tuesday when the students return to school.
