A dead body found in the New Croton Reservoir has been identified as the man who has been missing in Yorktown for the past two days, according to Yorktown police.
Investigators say Steven Lorenz, 34, was last seen Tuesday morning at the St. Jude Institute group home along Croton Lake Road. He was wearing an orange coat, dark pants and carrying a green lunch box.
Lorenz, who was described as a vulnerable adult with schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder, had been living at the home for the last year.
Officials say it appears that Lorenz wandered into the woods and onto a steep cliff. They say he must have lost his footing and fell into the water.
At this time, police don't believe foul play was involved.
His body was taken to the medical examiner's office, where they will determine his cause of death.
