A Westchester County police officer and six park rangers ended up in the hospital after trying to break up a brawl between teenage employees at Rye Playland.
According to police, a fight broke out between a girl and a boy on a Bee-Line bus at 11:30 p.m., after the park closed. When police and park rangers boarded the bus, the violence escalated. Two boys and two girls ranging in age from 16 to 19, all from Mount Vernon, were arrested. The charges range from disorderly conduct to felony assault.
Last week, police were called to break up another brawl involving teenagers at the park.
