Police arrested four teenagers for allegedly beating up a Monroe man Friday who tried to defend his son.
John Schifano says he was attacked in front of his house just after midnight by eight teenagers from Minisink Valley High School who threatened his son with bats and chains.
Police say John Schifano Jr. was targeted over a girl. Schifano says his son received a phone threat and was tipped off about the attack, but he never thought it would escalate to violence.
Authorities say charges may be pending against the other teens who were allegedly involved in the brawl.
