Police: 23-year-old man recovering from shooting in East New York

It happened just before 1 p.m. at an apartment complex on Pitkin Avenue near the corner of Miller Avenue.

A man is recovering after getting shot Tuesday afternoon in East New York, according to police.
It happened just before 1 p.m. at an apartment complex on Pitkin Avenue near the corner of Miller Avenue.
Police say they got a call about a man being shot.
When they got there, they found a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his backside. He was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals Kings County for treatment.
"It's a terrible thing," said one resident who didn't want to be identified. "I'm surprised of hearing something of this magnitude because it doesn't happen like that."
Police say the victim is in stable condition. They're are searching for three possible male suspects in connection with this shooting.
