Police in Poughkeepsie say they arrested two teenagers, including a juvenile, who were allegedly engaging in narcotics activity at the intersection of Main and Rose streets on Labor Day.
Officers say they attempted to make contact with the pair, prompting them to flee on foot. Police pursued and apprehended both individuals.
An 18-year-old male was allegedly found in possession of a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun along with quantities of cocaine and fentanyl. He is being held pending arraignment.
The 16-year-old juvenile is also accused of carrying cocaine. He was released to his mother on an appearance ticket.
