Police says three people are in custody following a robbery at Yorktown Pharmacy.
Officials say it happened around 4:20 p.m.
They say one suspect stood at the front door, while two others went behind the cash register area to remove narcotic substances from the shelves.
Officials say a pharmacy employee called 911 on a landline and left the phone line open so officers could listen in.
Police arrived as the suspects' vehicle was leaving the area. That vehicle was then involved in an accident, injuring two victims at the Underhill Avenue/Route 118 intersection. Those injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.
The three suspects then ran away on foot. One was immediately caught, and another, who was hiding, was captured a short time later. The third suspect was taken into custody around 8:15 p.m. and was apparently hitchhiking on Route 118 near Old Country Way.
