The NYPD says two male suspects are wanted for allegedly entering an apartment and ambushing a 12-year-old child in Sunset Park. 

Police say the two suspects entered the apartment building on 61st Street and 6th Avenue in Brooklyn through an open door and rang the bell, when the 12-year-old victim opened the door to the apartment. 

The two suspects then proceeded to hit the victim and tried to tape his mouth shut. 

Photos from the NYPD show the two suspects wearing yellow shirts and construction helmets, and police say they fled the scene in a grey Nissan. 

Police say the suspects did not take anything from the home, but they are still searching for them.
