Town of Hyde Park police say two 17-year-old juveniles have been arrested in connection with an incident earlier this month where a stolen pick-up truck was abandoned on train tracks and struck by an Amtrak train.

They say it happened on Oct. 9 at 33 River Point Road.

Police say the juveniles stole the truck from the Hyde Park Marina before abandoning it. The train was carrying 196 passengers when the collision occurred.

There were no injuries.

The juveniles are charged with grand larceny, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.
