A 19-year-old Port Chester man was arrested for discharging a firearm multiple times on a busy Mount Vernon street.
Police say Tyshawn Watkins repeatedly fired shots around South 2nd Avenue and West 3rd Street. No injuries were reported. However, several store fronts in the area were damaged.
Authorities say Watkins faces multiple charges including attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
