Police: 18-year-old arrested in armed robbery at Shell gas station in Wappinger

The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office says Joseph Wrubel, of Poughkeepsie, entered the Shell gas station on Route 376 in the town of Wappinger early Monday morning.

A 18-year-old was arrested and charged following an armed robbery in Dutchess County.
The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office says Joseph Wrubel, of Poughkeepsie, entered the Shell gas station on Route 376 in the town of Wappinger early Monday morning. The suspect allegedly showed he had a gun, then stole cash and merchandise before fleeing on foot.
He was arrested later that day.

Wrubel is facing a charge of robbery and is being held in Dutchess County Jail in lieu of bail.
Wrubel is due to appear in Town of Wappinger Court Wednesday evening.
