A Yonkers plow truck crashed through the retaining wall of a historic home during Wednesday’s nor’easter.
Debbie Kriksciun, who lives on Phillipse Place, says the plow truck driver was driving in reverse when he hit the retaining wall behind her home, struck a downed tree from last week's nor'easter and then got stuck.
“It was really scary knowing a city plow truck was hanging over our kitchen and could have toppled over because it was full of sand and salt,” she says.

Neighbors say the retaining wall that was supposed to protect people inside the home is now at risk of toppling down.

The driver, who lives on the same street, wasn't home when News 12  knocked on his door.
A city spokesperson says they are taking the matter seriously and investigating what happened to determine how to proceed.
Kriksciun says the driver shouldn't be allowed to operate his truck anymore.

“The wall is completely bowed, and there's a gigantic hole, and so now I'm worried about other cars falling in,” she says.
