Film music festival. Our meteorologist, Matt Hammer has taken weather on the road for us to Pleasantville this morning with everything you need to know. It was really, really hard to get Matt out to a music festival. He hates music. So, where's your guitar? Matt? Did you bring it? Did you bring it for these types of events that I go to? They're just really so difficult to cover. No, we're so excited to be here this morning. I actually had the privilege of covering the preview last year as well. Seems like yesterday we were here getting ready for the big event. This is the 17th annual Pleasantville Music Festival that will rock off tomorrow here across the Hudson Valley at Parkway Field here in Pleasantville at noon. Tomorrow. The music starts and we have videos you're seeing now from years past and this year, some of the headliners, they might be giants also the Almond Bets band too. And just some incredible acts like Sophie B Hawkins, but it's not just the national acts that this is all about, it's about the local music talent that just really shines here in Pleasantville each and every year that this event goes on and tomorrow will be no different once Parkway Field here behind me is a little bit more packed than it is right now and we'll have the crews coming in this morning to kind of start to set things up and get ready for tomorrow's big event. You can still get tickets as well. Just head on over to plea music festival dot com. We'll have a link up on news 12 dot com as we go throughout the morning with everything that you need to know and everything that you see here this morning and actually coming up in the next half hour, we will talk with the executive director of the Plea Music. That kind of helps to put all of this thing together. It's a year long effort and we'll talk to him coming up in just a little bit. But right now, we want to actually talk about the weather for tomorrow. If you're thinking about maybe coming to the festival tomorrow, it's not going to be a wash out. So, you know, this, this will go off without a hitch tomorrow. It will be a great event, just take an umbrella with you. There can be a little bit of a spotty rain shower around. So if we have the planner forecast there, you see, as we go into Saturday, this is tomorrow's forecast for right here at Parkway Field in Pleasantville, it'll be kind of a cloudy to partly sunny day, temperatures heating up again into the mid eighties. The humidity very high as well. There can be that early to mid afternoon spot each shower or quick thunderstorm should not be anything severe though. It would last about 10 to 20 minutes and be out of here in a hurry. I do expect dry conditions into the evening hours tomorrow as we get ready to, to see those headliners shine here at Parkway Field Three stages, 18 acts over nine hours of music. It's just going to be an incredible event tomorrow, but for more.

Jam is back. We're talking about this year's Pleasantville Music Festival. Meteorologist, Matt Hammer is taking weather on the road for us this morning letting us know about what we can expect this weekend and jamming out with some new friends. Clearly, Matt, I mean, this is a fun Friday morning surrounded by a great local band right now, Moon Unit. So gracious to join us this morning, you're hearing a little taste of what they have to offer. We'll hear more in just a little bit, but I want everyone to kind of get a feel for what this band is about. We want to always showcase local. So I hate to interrupt the music. However, Evan Michael Charlie Bianca, thanks so much for joining us this morning, for everyone who hasn't gotten a chance to listen to your music yet and they should, I listened to it last night. It's pretty awesome. What, how would you describe basically the goal of your music or what your music is all about? I would say it's like alternative psychedelic rock, you know, definitely for fans of classic rock as well as newer alternative psychedelic music. Now, what's so exciting about being able to come here tomorrow at the Pleasantville Music Festival. You know, 18 acts. You're one of them. How does, how does that feel? I mean, it's got to be an amazing opportunity. It is. Yeah, we all grew up in the area. We're all from Austin and New York. So, except for Bianca, Long Island is close enough though too. So we're gonna let Moon Unit play a little bit more right now. And also coming up in the next half hour, you will get a full taste of one of their songs which you can find more about all over online. Of course, the Spotify and, and, and prime music and all of that, you can listen to Moon Unit for yourself. So we'll have a full preview coming up in just a few minutes right now though, the forecast for the event tomorrow. And yes, there is a spotty shower or thunderstorm chance as we go into the afternoon hours tomorrow. However, come on down. It's not going to be a wash out. Most of the event will be dry here in Pleasantville. Just a little spotty shower. A quick thunderstorm possible during the early to middle part of the afternoon hours, temperatures are still going to be warm. It is still going to be a humid day too for more of that low.

So excited behind me, Parkway Field will be jam packed tomorrow afternoon as we get the 17th annual Plea Music Festival underway with 18 acts across three stages and just a full afternoon and evening of fun over nine hours of music and it's not just about the music, it's a full volunteer effort. There will be great local food vendors, vendors, drinks, there's a Captain Lawrence, beer and wine garden too. So much for you and the family to enjoy. Ready to rock in Pleasantville. We're talking about this year's popular music festival. This weekend, meteorologist, Matt Hammer is taking that weather on the road to Pleasantville when you come back in the studio and just do your like regular forecast. It's gonna feel so boring. Matt, you've had tunes. You've had excitement. We love it. No, but I'll be surrounded by all my great coworkers. So it'll be just as fun as all the fun that I've been having surrounded by great music and great people here this morning, previewing tomorrow 17th, annual Pleasantville Music Festival. It is going to be an amazing time here. It is after year after year, such an exciting event here in Westchester County, 18 bands across three stages. And it's not even just about the music. A great community effort to kind of come together and kind of put this on. It's a year long effort to put this thing together. And joining me right now is the mayor of Pleasantville to speak a little bit more on that community effort. And what this means to Pleasantville mayor. Thank you for joining us this morning and talk a little bit about that. What what people can expect when they come out here and why it's so important to the community. So, uh first off, thank you guys for coming. Really delighted to have the coverage. So as you can see what's normally just a field for sporting activities is turning in the next 24 hours into this Fabulous Center for a day long music festival. It got started. Now, 19 years ago, we skipped two for the pandemic and we kind of pretend they don't exist. But this is built over time really. From the grass roots, a small community activity with a whole lot of volunteer support has grown into a pretty amazing machine. I've several times said and I probably will say forever. It's too big for us to do and too good not to do it. So here we go again. 17th year. It's one of those moments where you show up here and uh you get wrapped up not only in the music but in the spirit of uh Pleasantville, New York. And you were talking a little bit about how you've come year after year to this event. So personally, quickly, do you have a memory that sticks out from, from coming to this event year after year? Oh II, I have a bunch of them. But one of them is one that's actually happened more than once uh backstage. We've got bands coming, some of them fairly high profile. Some of them show up with a little bit of a show. It's a gig. Pleasantville, New York. Where is that? They come off stage and they say, wow, what a great audience. What a great vibe. What a great place to be, bring us back. So now only if we can make sure the weather will be fantastic as well. That is where I come in and we're going to talk a little bit about that right now. So for the event here tomorrow, it is going to be overall pretty decent. Yes, it will be warm and muggy outside, the humidity is still with you. But as we go throughout most of the day, a lot of dry time, we just can't rule out that early to mid afternoon, spotty shower or thunderstorm, but there will mostly be dry time here at the Parkway Field in Pleasantville for the event. So no major concerns, but maybe just tag the umbrella along with you just in case you do get caught under a quick downpour tomorrow afternoon. So for more.
