Play Airlines offers one-way tickets from Stewart Int'l Airport to Iceland, Europe for as low at $109
Tickets officially went on sale Tuesday for Play Airlines, which will launch daily flights from the airport in Orange County to Reykjavik, Iceland beginning this June.

Iceland beginning this June.
The low-cost carrier is the first international airline to
return to Stewart since 2019.
Alex Minton with the Port Authority of New York
and New Jersey says the struggling airport saw a 73% reduction in passengers the
following year after the pandemic hit.
"Trends are showing people want to travel
and that's really encouraging for us,” says Minton.
Play Airlines is now the second carrier to announce a
partnership with the airport over the last five months.
Play Airlines CEO Birgir Jónsson hopes to entice
passengers with the convenience of a small airport and competitive prices.
"Our approach is that there are huge number
of people who want to go to Europe and the surrounding areas and price is a big
factor," says Jónsson.
Play Airlines will be the first carrier to utilize a $30 million
expansion of the U.S. Customs inspection area that's meant to improve
international travel.
