Hillary Clinton was onboard an American Airlines flight that suffered a mechanical issue and needed to return to the gate Sunday afternoon.
A law enforcement source says the former Secretary of State and Chappaqua resident was on the flight from LaGuardia Airport to Washington's Reagan National Airport.
Pilots told authorities the plane shook and ground workers saw smoke and found metal debris in the area.
According to the airline, passengers boarded a different aircraft and departed for Washington later Sunday afternoon.
