More Rockland County residents appear to be getting armed in the wake of the Monsey Hanukah attack.
The County Clerk's office confirmed that 73 pistol permit applications were filed following the stabbings that injured six people last month. That's compared to 51 pistol permit applications in the eight weeks before the attack.
The application is the first step in a monthslong process that includes fingerprinting, background checks and firearms training.
