A Monroe-Woodbury High School graduate is using his own private jet to rescue victims in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.
Michael Donoghue, who now lives in California, spoke to News 12 Tuesday by Facebook from Florida. He has made five trips to Puerto Rico since going down Friday to help his own family living on the island. He provides the services at no cost.
“There's no power. These people are sleeping in a wet, black hangar all night long, just hoping against hope somebody's going to take them back,” he says.
Donoghue is planning another trip to bring down relief supplies and bring back more victims Hurricane Maria left behind.
