The Village of Piermont celebrated the 30th anniversary of Woody Allen's film "The Purple Rose of Cairo" on Sunday.
Mia Farrow and Jeff Daniels starred in the comedy-fantasy film that was shot in Piermont in the winter of 1983.
Piermont transformed back into the Depression era for the anniversary to honor the film's setting.
Susan Strange, who was there for the original production of the film, says it was a once in a lifetime experience.
