A new photo exhibit promoting peace and understanding is making its way to Chappaqua this week.
The project brings together teens sharing their stories before and after the Oct. 7 Hamas attack in Israel through the lens of their own cameras.
It’s called “Through Others’ Eyes,” and features portraits and visuals taken by four teens — two Arab and two Jewish, who spent a year - not only learning about photography, but each other, too.
“It's amazing when you look at some of these pictures, the clarity these kids have about the lives that they're living,” says Michele Gregson, chair of Friends of Chappaqua Performing Arts Center. “And it takes my breath away, a few of the pictures...You know, the picture speaks 1,000 words. Like you know what their lives are like.”
Visitors can meet the teens during a live panel on Thursday night. Tickets are free.
